Nowhereverse Tales, Issue 27

It’s good to get out of our comfort zones. New experiences can open our eyes to new sights, introduce us to new feelings and ideas. Literally carving new pathways through our brains! There’s so much to see in the world.
And sometimes what we discover is something within us. New environments outside reveal something inside is not what we always assumed…

I’ve been a little busy this month! A couple of announcements:
First, a compilation of issues 1-17 (“Kitchen From Scratch” up through “The Fight”) is now available! There’s nothing new in it, but it does make it easier to read in one sitting and/or on an e-reader device. It’s also on Kobo Plus if that’s your jam. And for those with the ear of their local library, it is available through Overdrive. I’m not making a huge deal out of it yet (and you, faithful readers, are under no obligation to buy it), but I did want to celebrate getting to that milestone.
Second, the first official issue of Transform Fiction is now out, and it features my story “An Image In Mind” from Tales #18! (This is the story of Fang and his learning to describe sight to creatures without eyes.) I’m beyond thrilled and honored to be included in such great company. Check it out if you’re able!
Finally, for my readers in the USA, I’m going to ask you to bear with me: have you checked your voter registration? There’s a lot of misinformation going around, and some states may have recently cleaned up their registries.
The best place to check is Vote.gov which is run by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, not a political party or campaign. Check it soon; election day is closer than we realize. Voting isn’t the only thing we can do to make things better, but it is one of the best things we can do collectively. And if it didn’t matter, people wouldn’t be spending time, energy, and money trying to convince us it doesn’t.
We heal, we liberate, we hope. Together, we bring light.
